Located in the State of Illinois, Chicago is one of the busiest cities in America. There is so much history, so many things to do, and beautiful sights to see all throughout the city! If you’ve never been to Chicago, I highly suggest you go! Because there are so many things to do within the city it truly was really hard to narrow it down to just 5 things! I’ve compiled this list because I think that is 5 things that truly define Chicago and are absolutely amazing things to do or sights see throughout the city! So if you happen to travel to the windy city, don’t forget these great things to do!
-The Willis Tower: The Willis Tower is the highest building in Chicago, it is 110 stories tall! You may have heard of the Sears Tower, they are actually the same building! The skyscraper was renamed the Willis Tower! It is filled with various restaurants, gift shops, and you can even test your fear of heights by going out onto the Glass Sky Deck that surrounds the building, which is a completely clear ledge that you can walk out on and see the whole city! It is a really scary, yet exhilarating feeling being out there!
-The Bean: The Chicago Bean is probably the sight you hear most about when you hear about Chicago! The Bean is located in Millennium Park in downtown Chicago! It is so cool to see the Bean, where you can take pictures of your reflection and see an amazing sight!
-Wrigley Field: Chicago is home to the Chicago Cubs MLB Baseball team! Wrigley Field has so much history in it’s own but it’s also a really good time to attend a Chicago Cubs game! Even if you don’t have the chance to attend a game, Wrigley Field offers tours of the stadium that are really awesome and interesting! Even if that is all you can do, see the sight of Wrigley Field is definitely something you wanna do while visiting Chicago!
-The Magnificent Mile: The Magnificent Mile is literally a mile long world of shopping! If you’re someone like me who loves to shop, this is the place for you! They have everything from the Hershey Store to the Apple Store or even The Lego Store! Pretty much anything you can think of, they have! The Magnificent Mile is also a great place to find some really delicious restaurants great for dinners out!
-The Navy Pier: The Navy Pier is by far one of my favorite spots in all of Chicago! The Pier is filled with food, fun, and beautiful sights! You can embark on one of their everyday cruises, ride the ferris wheel, or even enjoy a delicious meal at oen of the many restaurants on the Pier! The Navy Pier is great for a couple, a group of friends, or even a family to spend the whole day! There are a few different rides, they have different shops for buying souvenirs and like I said before…plenty of places for dining!
Chicago is such a great place to visit and definitely worth using a vacation! Trust me, if you’ve never been to Chicago…you’ve got to go sometime soon and you will not regret it at all!
