Our last full day in Branson was definitely a fun one. We woke up bright and early and headed to Silver Dollar City. I was ready for rollercoasters, fried food, a day full of adventure. It worked out perfectly that Silver Dollar City was rolling out their red, white and blue carpet for everyone to “Celebrate America.”
Silver Dollar City had the whole park adorned with the America Flag and captured the essence of our great country. Celebrate America included new Americana-inspired events, features and tributes. “Throughout our Branson attractions and within our community, we are setting out to celebrate all the qualities that make America the most remarkable nation on earth,” said Brad Thomas, general manager of Silver Dollar City Attractions. “We are adding a big season-long celebration, creating an all-American adventure destination for families who want to experience a wealth of patriotism, passion and pride for our country.”
After listening to an awesome show, we headed to explore the amusement park. Silver Dollar City is something I have always heard people talk about, I had heard the stories, I had seen pictures, and now I was so excited to be able to experience it for myself. Quinn and I both LOVE roller coasters so we couldn’t wait another second to get on one.
I loved the scenery at Silver Dollar City, it was gorgeous. There was trees, shrubbery, and flowers every where you looked. I truly didn’t feel as if I was in an amusement park.
The people and atmosphere at Silver Dollar City reminded me on Texas. Texas gets stereotyped as cowboys and the country. While we do have that here in Dallas, it isn’t nearly as present as many people think. Everything from the employees at Silver Dollar City to the gorgeous scenery made me feel at home. I enjoyed my day so much and can’t wait to get back.
Until next time!
