No, I don’t have any kids but yes, I do have fur babies. They are my children. I plan on having you know “real human” babies, but for now I’m enjoying spoiling my little four legged friends. With Halloween just around the corner, you know that I bought them costumes. I couldn’t resist. Target had dog costumes for fairly cheap so I grabbed two so Suzi and Sumo would be matching. (Btw, did you meet my animals? You can learn about them here.)
Suzi will be dressing as a cheerleader. (Picture from Target.com) Now is the time to start stocking up on Halloween costumes for your animals, they are almost 50% off already.
Sumo will be wearing a “linebarker” costume.
Are those not the cutest outfits ever? Last year we dressed Suzi as Eeyore and Sumo as Tigger, it was very fitting.
I recently saw that Rover.com and Picmonkey.com have teamed up for a super fun contest to win a GoPro, so I had to join. Here’s the breakdown of the contest.
“How to enter the #FrankenPet Halloween contest
1. Snap a photo of your pet (costumes optional).
2. Head to PicMonkey to snazz up your photo with extra filters and effects using the PicMonkey Halloween photo editor.
3. Share your photo online, tagged #FrankenPet.
PicMonkey is a powerful yet friendly online photo editor offering basic editing to beautiful effects and all the way to advanced tools.
Between October 15 and October 31, 2014, create and share your photos online—be sure to tag them with #FrankenPet. When you tag your photos with #FrankenPet, you’ll be entered to win the grand prize: a GoPro camera and mount for unlimited dog’s eye view footage.
Check out the full contest rules below, and start sharing scary snaps of your awesome animals. We can’t wait to see your FrankenPets!”
If you’re curious what Rover.com is, it’s a site that connects dog owners with a nationwide network of dog lovers for hire, offering in-home dog boarding, dog sitting, and dog walking. How amazing is that?
Anyways, back to the contest. It’s super simple to enter and share on social. I decided to edit a couple of Sumo’s pictures for the contest. I made one spooky and one sweet.
He’s still cute, even if he looks crazy. I use picmonkey for all my photo editing needs. If you’re looking for a FREE photo editor that you don’t have to download, I highly recommend it. There is a paid option that is fairly cheap that I would recommend if you use it often.
Don’t forget to share with me your photos and tag them #FrankenPet
