After our amazing Kayak trip to Willamette Falls, we were heading up to Mt Hood. We didn’t have far to drive but wanted to get out of the car. We came across one of the most fun breweries that I’ve been to. Bunsenbrewer features a unique tasting room like I’ve never seen before.
If you like science, then this brewpub is for you. With lab tables and stools, this distillery was decorated from the mind of a biochemist. Upon entering, this brewery looks like a mancave – a home away from home.
Since we were still about 20 minutes away from our final destination, we shared a flight so we could try a little bit of everything. In actuality, Quinn drank everything and I barely tasted them. He thoroughly enjoyed Brunsenbrewer.
There were a few rubick’s cubes laying out on the bar and when talking to the bartender he mentioned that everyone who works at Bunsenbrewer knows how to master the rubick’s cube. How amazing is that?
They also got serious cool points when they served our beers in beakers!
On the back wall is a sound lab fully equipped with instruments for anybody to play. Some are owned by the brewery, others are owned by customers who leave their instruments there to give others a chance to play. In the corner of the brewpub is a TV hooked up to a gaming system and board games galore. We didn’t try any food but they have gluten free and vegetarian options. If you want to know more about Bunsenbrewer, stop in and see what they’re all about. Check out their event calendar while you’re there to stay up to date on movie nights, beer classes, music shows and trivia night.
Bunsenbrewer is located at 16506 SE 362nd Drive, Sandy OR.
