Today we have a great recipe to share with you! This one is for detox bath salts.
Detox Bath Recipe
To make this recipe for detox bath salts you will need:
- One cup Epsom Salts
- Lemon Essential oil
- Thieves Essential oil
- Cedarwood oil
*We recommend using the Young Living Essential Oils (we have a great deal on their premium starter kit!!). The oils are pure and smell great!*
Scoop your salts into a medium sized mixing bowl and add five drops of each oil on top of the salts.
Mix the salts and oils until well blended together.
You can use the detox bath immediately or put it in a pretty glass jar to save for later.
To use right away, draw a hot bath and pour the salts into the water. You want the bath to be as hot as comfortably possible! Let the salts dissolve before climbing into the bath yourself.
Soak in the detox bath for 20 minutes. No washing or shaving, just soak for the first 20-30 minutes of your bath. When you are done soaking you can wash or go straight to a cool shower to clean up.
Be sure to rise carefully from the tub and if you are going to wash, be sure to use mild soaps and shampoos. Your pores will still be more open than usual from the bath and you don’t want your body to absorb any harsh chemicals right after detoxing.
Make sure you have time to rest after bathing. Drink lots of water and sleep after a detox is ideal. Epsom salts contain magnesium so they should both help your body release toxins through your skin with the warm water, but magnesium also promotes a good sleep cycle. Hopefully, you will sleep better than you usually do after this bath.
